Decking is a great way to increase your living/entertainment space on unsightly level and sloping ground. There are various types of hardwoods to use such as Kwilla and Vitex, depending on the appearance you are after. Treated pine is a softwood option. 

If you are concerned about exceeding the limit of permeable surface on your property, decking is ideal as water can drain through, allowing you to get creative with shape and size.

Trellises and screens serve many purposes in the garden. They tidy up an area well, hiding unattractive sites such as bins, storage, or other houses/buildings. The structures can be softened with greenery. We love the idea of creating "rooms" in the garden, to walk through and discover, and a sitting area becomes intimate, rather than a large and obvious open space.
